Sometimes for a specific creator like Lealilith and Aroundthesims but mostly for type of sims (age, gender), style (grunge, urban), season and of course the very important TEST folder where all the new stuff goes. Where able I make collections of it as I learned from one of your tutorials. My sets are divided in hairs, genetics, pets, clothing, objects, build, worlds, lots, play style and ofb where I keep cc for restaurants, bakery, school, coffee shop, clothing shop and so on. Sliders I keep in my modsfolder, everything else goes in ccmagic. Also Mspoodle’s default replacement plates, taxis are in there so that I can switch and stuff. Nraas, Ani, Arsil, Twoftmama and so on and so forth.
In my mods folder I also have folders for several creators. Some default replacements go in ccmagic Aminovas plants under the ‘outdoor set’ for instance. Actually I never thought of putting lighting mods in ccmagic and enable and disable them according to the world I’m playing. Lighting mods, MTS mods, misc mods I put in the mods folder in game. Sounds like my Simslife or lack of due to rl lol! 😭 I appreciate any ideas you may have, even screenshots! I browse and like posts, install some cc and mods and then play the occasional test game for a few minutes, but that’s it. Do you put them in categories and if so, which ones? Do you go by Creator, Website or Type? If by Type, which ones (e.g scripts, tunings, default replacements etc).įor ones who use CCMagic, do you put lighting/clouds/moons and plants/trees in CCMagic or the mods folder? What about UI mods? Do default replacements still work in CCMagic or should I leave them in the Mods folder?
I want to try a different way, a more efficient way and stick with it. I just want to ask, how do you all organise your mods folder? I need some ideas! At the moment, my mods are put in subfolders of creators.
